Instructional Designer

I approach instructional design with the belief that effective learning begins with context. Rather than relying on a single model or method, I consider the audience, need, environment, and desired outcomes to determine the right approach. My work is informed by cognitive psychology and constructivist principles: people need information they can process and remember, opportunities to build on what they know, and experiences that allow learning to develop through application, reflection, and connection.

I also believe good instructional design is fundamentally human-centered. I consider not only what learners need to know or do, but what it feels like to move through the learning experience. Clear language, thoughtful organization, intuitive navigation, meaningful human presence, and an appropriate balance of challenge and support all matter. I value simplicity without sacrificing substance and engagement without adding interaction merely for its own sake.

When the content and context allow, I incorporate variety—multimedia, scenarios, reflection, discussion, practice, and connections to contemporary life. My goal is to create learning that is purposeful, accessible, engaging, and memorable while always keeping both the desired outcomes and the people experiencing the learning in view.
